Thank you to the Mary Casey Black Elementary PTA for bringing in freestyle rapper and beatboxer, Dr. Blake Brandes! Known as the Doctor of Hip-Hop, Dr. Brandes inspired our Owls with his high-energy performance and powerful message on the importance of a growth mindset.

Great things are happening in our Food Services Department!
Our ongoing work with Brigaid continues to strengthen the quality of meals we serve to students every day. This week, we had the pleasure of working with Chef Bernard, an experienced chef brought in by Brigaid, who spent time training and collaborating with our talented cook/bakers from all 12 school sites.
Chef Bernard shared his culinary expertise, helping to refine skills, inspire creativity, and support our mission of serving fresh, delicious meals made with care. We’re proud of our team and grateful for partners who help us keep raising the bar! #WeAreBUSD

The Brentwood Citizen's Oversight Committee is accepting applications for up to 5 new members through Monday, September 1st, 2025! Committee members serve two-year terms and will be responsible for: actively monitoring all projects and expenditures approved by the voters, providing proper oversight and accountability to ensure that Measure B funds are used as they were intended, and reporting to members of the community on the progress of Measure B projects.
