Ron Nunn Elementary has been busy this past week! Last Friday, Mayor Joel Bryant visited the school for Walk and Talk, they received new AAC boards that were installed for their non-verbal students and their Fun Run raffle winners received new bikes courtesy of The Bike Shop in Brentwood. What an exciting week at Ron Nunn Elementary, while our little #RonNunnEagles learned about Community Helpers. Our students are being introduced to different professions and the important roles community helpers play in our communities. The children are learning about Doctors, Nurses, Police Officers, EMT's, Dentists, Meteorologists and many other important helpers. On Thursday our students spent time with the crew from Contra Costa County Fire Protection District station 92. The #firefighters taught our little ones about fire safety, showed them their equipment, demonstrated how to #StopDropandRoll and so much more. Our young learners also learned how the Firefighters work cooperatively, have empathy, take pride in their work and are lifelong learners.
