We’ve updated the Brentwood Union School District Budget Newsletter with important new information about the Governor’s January Budget proposal.
The proposal includes funding for education that is $5.6 billion below the minimum required under Proposition 98, the constitutional guarantee for school funding in California. This is critical funding for students and schools across the state.
For BUSD, this proposal would mean more than $8 million less than what California law requires for our district.
