  • We are delighted to share that April is Community Celebrations—MENA/SWANA Month. This month, BUSD students will learn about the MENA/SWANA region and its cultures.  PLEASE NOTE: We are expanding our celebration from Arab American Heritage Month to MENA/SWANA Heritage Month to honor the full diversity of students and families in our community whose roots span the Middle East, North Africa, and Southwest Asia — including but not limited to Afghan, Palestinian, Turkish, Kurdish, Armenian, Amazigh, and other communities whose histories and identities deserve recognition alongside their Arab American neighbors. All Community Celebrations lessons can be found on the BUSD website at https://www.brentwood.k12.ca.us/page/community-celebrations

  • DO YOU HAVE PLANS TO LEAVE LOMA VISTA? If you plan to move over the summer or enroll your child in another school district, please notify our school secretary. This allows us to prepare and forward your child’s records to ensure a smooth transition. Thank you for your support!

  • Yoga With Families Event: Tuesday, April 28, 2026 from 5:15 - 6:00 PM. Join us for a 20-minute yoga session led by a parent volunteer and then head to Loma Vista Park to build community with friends! See flyer for additional information.

  • Peaceful Paws Playground Program:  Support play, friendship, and the Leopard Way! Choose any recess or lunch period to volunteer.  For more information, contact Mrs. Pavon at dpavon@brentwood.k12.ca.us.

  • The updated Parents Notice of Rights and Responsibilities is posted online on our BUSD Website and now includes: The District engages in a thorough process to select curricular materials that align with state and local content standards and support academic achievement. Parents and guardians are able to review BUSD adopted curricular materials through our website, by contacting the curriculum and instruction department, and through your child’s teacher or administrator. If you have any concerns about any BUSD curricular materials, including concerns related to personal religious beliefs, please contact a school administrator so they can address your concerns.

  • Mobile Device Policy - Assembly Bill 3216 requires all school districts to develop a policy to limit or prohibit the use of smartphones while the pupils are at a school site.  The new policy outlines that students are not allowed to use their personal mobile devices (including phones, personal tablets, bluetooth headphones (such as AirPods), smartwatches and any bluetooth/recording device) personal mobile devices (including phones, personal tablets, bluetooth headphones {such as AirPods}, and smartwatches) once they have entered campus and cannot resume their use until after the end of the day. Devices must be turned off and stored away for the duration of the school day. This change aims to minimize distractions and enhance student focus and learning outcomes. (Link)

  • The main loop or back gate is recommended for families with 1st–5th grade students.

  • Wednesdays are our heaviest traffic days—consider leaving 5 minutes earlier.

  • Gates close at 8:25 a.m. for student safety. After this time, students must enter through the main office.

  • Families using the loop must remain in their vehicles. If your child needs help unbuckling, please use the back gate or park and walk to the Kindergarten gate.
