Join us for our next Loma Vista Belonging Bunch event on Tuesday, October 20, from 4:00–5:30 PM in the Loma Vista MPR!
This month, we are inviting families to help us Color Our Community! Each family will receive a blank canvas to create a piece that represents your family. Your finished canvas will become part of a collaborative family mural displayed in our main office.
🎨 What should we put on our canvas?
Before you come, talk as a family about what makes your family YOUR family! You can draw, paint, write, decorate, or attach small items to your canvas.
Consider bringing:
Family photos or copies of photos
Stickers
Small printed pictures or symbols that represent your culture or traditions
Favorite sayings, words, or family mottos
Ribbon, fabric, yarn, or scrapbook paper
Small flat keepsakes or decorations
Pictures of favorite foods, hobbies, sports, places, pets, or activities
Anything else small and lightweight that helps tell your family's story
We will provide the canvas and basic art supplies, including paint and drawing materials. Families are welcome to bring any special items they would like to add.
🎲 Want to play a game too?
Bring a favorite family board or card game to share! Families can create their canvas, play games, meet other Loma Vista families, or do a little of everything.
There is no need to be an artist and no special preparation is required. Just bring your family, your ideas, and anything you would like to use to make your canvas uniquely yours.
