Dear Loma Vista Families,
Great news, Loma Vista Leopards won best attendance in the district for the month of October! Thank you for making school a top priority in your home.
December is a joyful month filled with learning, celebrations, and important end-of-year activities. Even though the month is shorter, every day of school counts. With only 15 school days left in 2025, this is the perfect time to work as a community to maintain a 97% attendance rate. We have a lot of fun activities planned for the next few weeks, with spirit days each Friday. Make sure your student/s are at school to enjoy the excitement and create lasting memories!
❓Why is attendance important in December?
December is often one of the hardest months to maintain strong attendance due to travel, weather, and seasonal illnesses. But it’s also a crucial time for academic progress. Teachers are wrapping up units, assessing student growth, and preparing students for a strong start to the new year.
When students are in class consistently:
They stay connected to friends and routines.
They finish the semester confident and successful.
They avoid falling behind before January’s new learning begins.
🎁Winter Attendance Challenge
Each student who maintains 97% attendance this month will be entered into a special winter prize drawing! Let’s encourage our students to finish the year strong!
