October is a special month at Loma Vista. After our Fall Break, we return ready to reconnect, learn, and continue building a strong school community.
Our October Leopard Way focus is We Build Community. Students build community by showing gratitude, celebrating one another's successes, and showing up each day ready to contribute. When your child is at school, they aren't just learning; they're helping make our classrooms stronger.
🏡 Family Corner
After a long break, routines can take a few days to return. Help your child have a successful first week back by:
Setting an earlier bedtime before school resumes.
Packing backpacks and lunches the night before.
Talking about something they're excited to do when they return.
💜 Family Tip
Ask your child:
"How did you help the classroom community today?"
This simple question encourages children to recognize that showing up, participating, and being kind all help build a positive school community.
