🐾 Loma Vista Attendance Update: February 🐾
February may be a shorter month, but it is a powerful one for learning and connection. Daily attendance continues to play a key role in helping students feel confident and capable at school.
📸January Attendance Snapshot:
In January, our school continued working toward our attendance goal of 97%.
2 days at 96%
9 days at 95%
3 days at 94%
4 days at 93%
1 day at 92%
While we did not meet our 97% goal, these numbers show steady effort and progress.
❓ Why does attendance matter in February?
February is a critical month for reinforcing skills and preparing students for spring learning. When students attend school consistently, they can:
Strengthen routines and independence
Continue building confidence in their learning
Stay connected with peers and teachers
Avoid gaps that can make learning feel overwhelming later
Even missing a few days can interrupt progress, especially as lessons build on one another.
🏠 Partnering with Families: One Simple Action Step
Families make a huge difference in student attendance! This month, we invite families to take one small but powerful step……
👉 Set a February Attendance Goal with your child.
Talk with your student about coming to school every day, and choose a goal together, such as perfect attendance for a week or the whole month. Post the goal somewhere visible at home and check in daily.
🎉 February Attendance Motivation
Students who maintain 97% attendance in February will be entered into a drawing to win lunch with Ms. Kate. Encourage your Leopard to finish the month strong and proud of their commitment to showing up each day!
