Loma Vista Attendance Update: April 🐾

April brings longer days, new learning opportunities, and a chance to build on the strong attendance habits we’ve been working on together. This is a key time of year when consistent attendance helps students stay on track and feel successful as we head into spring.

📸March Attendance Snapshot:

In March, our school continued working toward our attendance goal of 97%.

1 day at 97% - CONGRATULATIONS LEOPARDS!!!!

5 days at 96%

2 days at 95%

2 days at 94%

Thank you for prioritizing daily attendance!

Why does attendance matter in April?

Students who miss just 2 days per month can quickly fall behind academically. April is especially important because learning is building every day as we prepare for the final stretch of the school year.

When students attend regularly, they:

  • Stay engaged in important grade-level learning

  • Build confidence as concepts become more complex

  • Maintain strong connections with classmates and teachers

Every day truly counts!

🌼 Spring Health Reminder: Attendance & Allergies

Seasonal allergies are common this time of year. If your child has mild symptoms (runny nose, sneezing, itchy eyes) and feels okay, they should still come to school. Staying in routine helps learning and friendships!

Helpful tips for families:

  • Send tissues or speak with your teacher if support is needed

  • Keep communication open with the school if symptoms change

🏠 Family Tip: Keep Mornings Simple

👉 Set a consistent bedtime and morning routine

👉 Prep backpacks and clothes the night before

Small routines make a big difference!.
