Thank you to our friends at the East Contra Costa County Historical Society for sharing the middens around Brentwood with our students. Today, third graders got to participate in archaeological digs to learn more about life in our area over the past several centuries.

Our Otters danced the night away at the 2nd Annual Glow Dance. Thank you to our wonderful Parents' Club for putting on such a fun event for our families.






Ike met Garin Elementary's cougar last night at the TK/Kinder readiness fair. We can't wait to meet more tiny Otters in the Fall.

5th graders participated in the Walk Through American Revolution. It was so fun to see history come alive! Thank you to Mrs. Grimshaw, Mrs. Miller, and Mrs. Delgado!



Our TK Otters in Ms. Sacco's class learned about first aid and fire safety from the San Francisco Fire Department today.

Congrats to Mr. Allen and our 5th grade band. This morning was IME's first ever Winter Band Concert. We're so proud of their hard work and dedication to music!


Dream Elite Soccer donated their time Friday for some fun soccer drills at recess. Thank you, Dream Elite staff!




Third grade Otters learned about Home Fire Safety today. Thank you to the Contra Costa County Fire Protection thin District for keeping us safe!


It was so fun to celebrate Halloween with our tiniest today. The BUSD preschoolers at IME got to trick or treat, parade, and play with their 5th grade Otter friends!






Shout out to our amazing IME Parents' Club for putting on such a fun day. Our 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat was a huge success! Congrats to the Costco trunk for taking first place.






IME's amazing Ms. Jodi from the office, visited 3rd graders in Mrs. Cook's class this week to be their mystery reader.

Third grade Otters from Mrs. Cook's class visited the Byer-Nail house to learn local Brentwood History. They got to experience the life of a child in the late 1800's by doing chores, playing games, and learning a lesson in the one room Eden Plain Schoolhouse.





Mrs. Silveira's 4th graders won the school wide competition for candy collection for the IME Trunk or Treat event. They collected 28 pounds of candy this week! We'll see our Otter families at the event on 10/26.


IME TK students participating in the Integrated Perceptual Motor program. They are exercising their cognitive functioning and having a blast, too!




Our 4th grade Otters spent the day "Walking through CA History." What a fun and interactive way of making CA history come alive!!
