Our 2nd graders are thrilled to meet their new furry caterpillar friends! šš¦ Observations are underway, and students are excited to watch the magical transformation into beautiful butterflies. Science in action is always amazing! š±āØ



Thank you to Brentwood Waste Management for teaching our kinder students about safety around garbage trucks and waste collection! šā»ļø They learned how to sort waste into the 3 bins and got an up-close look at how the truck works. What a fun & educational visit!

Day 1 of stream table exploration! š§ Our 4th grade scientists began modeling landforms to observe erosion and deposition in action. Through hands-on investigation, theyāre learning how valleys, rivers, and deltas take shape.



Our 1st grade scientists explored skulls with help from naturalists! š¦“š They observed, predicted, and discovered how different features help animals survive in our local environmentāconnecting perfectly with their Animal Adaptations unit.




Today we wrapped up our final fundraiser of the year with the WizFit graduation! šŖš Students were full of energy and ready to moveāshowing off their dance skills with the WizFit Shuffle and powering through jumping jacks, squats, and more without breaking a sweat! #WizFit





5th grade scientists in action! Students observed their plant growth & recorded changes with detailed graphics in their science notebooks. One plant was kept in darkness to explore the role of light in photosynthesis. Chlorophyll, nutrients, and discovery were everywhere!




That's a wrap on a busy, 4-day week! IME artists were celebrated at the Brentwood Community Center. 5th grade students learned their scores on the states test. Ms. Barnard's class dove into an engaging science lesson & all students enjoyed the bubbles on the yard. Whew!




Jungle James took our 1st graders on a reptilian tour around the world! Students learned about different reptiles, their habitats, & unique ways they protect themselves. Fun fact: Did you know a turtleās shell can bleed if itās broken? Itās actually part of their body!





The 5th graders were wax-tastic today! Wax figures such as Neil Armstrong, Susan B. Anthony & President Obama were present & shared information with family, staff & IME students during the wax museum. Great job 5th graders.




The Mystery Reader struck again in Mrs. Cook's class. Ms. Brown moved the class with her engaging read aloud of "Malala's Magic Pencil." Thank you Ms. Brown.
