Effective October 1, 2007, the cost for your first California substitute teaching credential and fingerprint clearance is $106, plus an additional rolling fee (paid at fingerprint processing location). Subsequent renewal credentials are $102.50. If you already possess a valid CA teaching credential, you are already eligible to sub.
