The safety and well-being of the students and staff of the Brentwood Union School District (BUSD) are the District’s highest priority. Brentwood Union School District is partnering closely with our County Office of Education as well as with local health agencies to monitor new developments with the illness and to ensure that we are following the most up-to-date guidelines set forth for schools in order to prevent and postpone the spread of the disease.

The Board of Education approved the adoption of COVID-19 Testing Framework for K-12 Schools for the 2022-2023 School Year on December 14, 2022.  Click here to access the testing framework.

BUSD will no longer offer in-person testing at our schools. The state is shifting to at-home antigen testing as a primary testing source. BUSD will continue to offer free antigen at-home testing kits to district employees and students at all of our school sites and at our district office. There is also the option to have kits sent to your home for free and many insurance companies also offer free antigen testing kits. Families are welcome to obtain a test kit and test prior to school or anytime throughout the school year. There are other locations in our area that offer free, in-person testing.
