Community Celebrations - June
JUNE IS PRIDE MONTH
June is Pride Month, a time to celebrate kindness, inclusion, and being yourself. It is an opportunity to learn about and support LGBTQ+ people, families, and communities.
Pride Month is observed each June to honor the history of people who worked to create a world where everyone can feel respected, valued, and accepted for who they are.
Let's celebrate diversity, friendship, and the importance of treating everyone with kindness and respect.

BUSD Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to share with you that we will be continuing our Community Celebration lessons during this school year. We want you to know that we have posted all lessons on our BUSD website. We have also included a FAQ document to explain the ‘why’ behind these lessons and answer some of the questions we have received. Please know that we continue to work on these lessons in order to fine-tune them and make sure they communicate our focus on inclusion and the contributions from members of the communities represented in these lessons. The lessons, sequence of months, and the FAQ can be found here: https://www.brentwood.k12.ca.us/page/community-celebrations
