Message From Principal

Garin School focuses on the whole child. We are dedicated to making our school environment a place where students can demonstrate success academically, socially and emotionally. Our staff takes pride in providing a positive, caring, and stimulating setting where students have opportunities to maximize their potential. Not only are our students expected to achieve high standards, both academically and behaviorally; they are supported and nurtured to develop their own unique and special talents and gifts, with the goal of giving them skills so they can handle the challenges of our ever-changing world. Diversity is celebrated and our climate reflects acceptance.

Using the Common Core State Standards as our guide, teachers and support staff are dedicated to differentiating instruction to support all learners at all learning levels. Interventions are in place academically and behaviorally to help students succeed. All learners are valued and challenged as evidenced in our classrooms. Lesson delivery is varied to reach all learning modalities. Higher level thinking is encouraged at Garin and is evident through student work and collaborative conversations.

The achievement of excellence in a school community is only possible with the cooperation and dedication of parents, students, and teachers working together. Garin is united to make our school the best learning environment that exhibits the following character traits: responsibility, trustworthiness, respect, caring, fairness and citizenship. Students are honored weekly for demonstrating these traits throughout the school day. Our family atmosphere at Garin is positive. All adults on campus are devoted to teach everyone, learn together and expect success.

As the Principal of Garin, I pledge to make a positive difference in the lives of children, families and staff while creating a love for learning beyond expectations! Kids come first at Garin and all decisions are measured by asking ourselves, “What is best for our children?” Our decisions promote moving all children to proficiency and beyond.  Staff works together making decisions as a professional learning community.

As a school, we are dedicated to providing excellent customer service to our children, families and staff. Our school glows with friendliness and it is obvious that people enjoy being at Garin. We invite you to visit Garin, where learning is an adventure full of meaningful and fun experiences for all children.
