The School Site Council, composed of the principal, teachers, other school personnel, and parents, is a vehicle by which the school community comes together to chart the school’s path to improvement. The success of the SSC is dependent upon the ability and the willingness of all those involved in the process to work together in a cooperative manner to develop an effective instructional program so that all students may attain higher levels of academic competence. Members of the council serve a two-year term. Parents are nominated and elected by the parent community when a vacancy occurs.
