Welcome to Adams Middle School! The AMS Parents Club needs your help! The AMS Parents Club is a non-profit organization with the purpose [1] to provide extra opportunities to enhance the quality of the education of all students, [2] to provide support for teachers, administrators, and support staff, and [3] to foster goodwill and communication between school, home, and community.

We are requesting nominations for several open positions for the 2025 - 2026 school year. This is an amazing opportunity to be involved in supporting your student's school experience. 

A few things of note! 

•       No experience needed. We are seeking parents who are willing to lean in – we’ll teach you the rest.

•       We meet 1 time per month for 1 hour (usually via zoom)

•       Board members are expected to attend in person volunteer opportunities on campus as needed.

•       This is a great way to meet the faculty and staff and AMS and stay connected to your student’s world at school.

The following Board positions are open: 

Treasurer:

•       Receive, deposit and keep record of monies due and payable to the Association

•       Disburse funds of the Association as directed by the Board

•       Prepare a monthly financial report for the General Meeting

•       Be responsible for filing all necessary reports required by the California State Franchise Tax Board and any other   governmental tax forms as required by law

•       Prepare a fiscal year Income and Expense Statement at the end of the term

•       Assure the retention of financial records for seven years

Volunteer Coordinator:

 •    Help manage, run, and support Parents Club events

 •    Contact parent volunteers to do the above
